Lab Alumni

Sam was a Master's student in the CHEN Lab. She studied how childhood environment such as the family origin's socioeconomic status influences people's cognition in older age.

Sam graduated in May 2024.

Olivia was a Master's student in the CHEN Lab. She was interested in understanding brain asymmetry in aging and the consequences of losing lateralization for cognitive aging.

Olivia graduated in May 2025.

Srinidhi was an undergraduate research assistant in the CHEN Lab. She assisted in programming and data collection for two cognitive tasks and examined their performance across the adult lifespan.

Srinidhi is now an undergraduate student at UCLA expecting to graduate in 2027.

Synthia was an undergraduate research assistant in the CHEN Lab. She assisted in screening and scheduling older participants and administering cognitive assessments for the Long Island Study of Aging.

Synthia is now an undergraduate student at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill expecting to graduate in 2027.

Samhitha was an undergraduate research assistant in the CHEN Lab. Her research interests include neurodegenerative diseases and neurodisparities.
